(Q4) Our Onething Partner for October 1 – December 31 is The Landing Place
Each quarter, Chapel Hill chooses one community organization on which to focus our giving; we call this our Onething Partner. Our OneThing Partner for October 1 – December 31 is The Landing Place…A Transitional Family Shelter Operated by Family Promise of Southwest Michigan serving families with children, experiencing homelessness in Kalamazoo County. Owned by Kalamazoo County and operated by Family Promise of Southwest Michigan, the shelter provides temporary housing and supportive services that help families move toward stable, permanent housing.
About The Landing Place
Families staying at The Landing Place have access to safe, temporary housing while working with case managers and support staff to secure permanent housing.
Support may include:
- Safe, private family accommodations
- Case management
- Housing navigation
- Employment and financial stability support
- Connections to childcare, healthcare, and other community resources
- Child-friendly indoor and outdoor spaces
Ongoing operations are supported through the Keys to Kalamazoo Housing Framework and other community investments.
